This beautiful chestnut roving is a farm blend — a carefully curated mix of fleeces from three of our suri llamas: PVL Chilean Dawn, Sunrise ShangriLa, and Take My Advice. By blending animals with similar fleeces, we're able to offer more of this rich, warm color while honoring the unique contribution of each llama.
Suri llama fiber is prized for its silky luster and elegant drape, quite different from the crimpy texture of huacaya. This chestnut roving has a warm red-brown depth that is stunning in its natural state — no dyeing needed. It spins into a lustrous, smooth yarn with beautiful color richness.
