Pelee and Vesuvius are siblings — Suri alpacas born right here on our farm at Fehrenbach Fibers, sharing the same sire and whose dams are sisters. Each had his own special gift: Pelee was a dedicated fiber producer, putting on a fine, high-luster fleece year after year. Vesuvius was a true dual-purpose star — an amazing fiber animal who also won many grand championships in the show ring with my daughter.

Together, their fleece becomes this beautiful 2-ply sport-weight yarn — 100% Suri alpaca with all the silky drape, luster, and softness that Suri fiber is celebrated for. Each 200-yard skein is naturally hypoallergenic and a joy to knit with, carrying the legacy of two exceptional animals from our farm.
